RNLI Fundraiser at Tapeley Park Instow Bideford

22nd August 2018

Once again, Kenwith Castle Model Boat Club supported the Tapeley Park fundraising event on behalf of the RNLI at Appledore. Each year the owners of Tapeley put aside a day for this fundraising event. Although the weather was not as good as we have had on previous occasions, the event was a sell out - with 130 tickets being sold in aid of the RNLI. As well as a cream tea, visitors get to sample various entertainment events during the afternoon and each year the Model Boat Club puts on a display of model boats to help boost funds. This year we only had 7 models on show, but given we have to share space with others, this proved to be plenty. As usual, KCMBC members had a pleasant and interesting day and were glad to be able to support such a worthwhile cause.
